The India Culture Hub (ICH) is an initiative that seeks to dive deep into Indian culture, with a special focus on our classical music traditions. Founded by culture activist Arun Budhiraja and led by the inimitable Dr. Shubham Modi, the span of ICH’s work goes beyond vocal music encompassing the flute and percussion as well.

ICH showcases Indic music traditions both as public concerts for large audiences and as baithaks – small, intimate sessions for informed groups of listeners who wish to know the nuances behind the evolution of such music. The hub specializes in research of how these musical traditions came into being in their contemporary form, beginning with Vedic chanting and temple music.

Research by the hub offers insights into the origin of Indic music, which was not meant for mere entertainment but was a technique for therapy of the mind. Music Therapy sessions by ICH use both receptive (listening) as well as active (singing, instrument usage) methods for the larger aim of improving health and well-being.

The hub imparts musical training to young talent, honing both vocal and instrumental techniques that enable them to spread the message of Indic music to ever-growing audiences. The India Culture Hub is an initiative of the Krishna Prerna Charitable Trust.
